About Brampton Safe City

Mission

The Brampton Safe City Association is a network of citizens, schools, businesses, police, community groups and government agencies working together to educate and engage people of all ages in safety.  Our mission is to make Brampton a safer community  by reducing the number of injuries and injury-related fatalities happening to our citizens and visitors;  and to maintain our city's status as a Designated International Safe Community*.

The Brampton Safe City Partnership, a coalition of more than 30 community partners, focuses on eight key areas of safety:  children's safety, youth violence prevention, road safety, crime reduction, workplace safety, seniors' safety, emergency preparedness and fire safety.

* Brampton has been designated as a national safe community by Safe Communities Canada since 2003, and as an international safe community by the World Health Organization since 2007.

   Provide safety education and information to the public; actively seek citizen participation and support for safety initiatives

3. Foster Existing Partnerships
   Work in synergy with our Community Partners to support one another in a shared vision of making Brampton a safer community

4. Build New Strategic Alliances
   Seek new Community Partners and innovative approaches to collaborate with other safety organizations
