On Saturday, September 22, 2007 Brampton will be recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a designated International Safe Community.

Brampton is a Safe Community
This distinction has only been awarded to 115 cities worldwide since 1989.


Bring your family and friends down to Brampton Day for an awesome community celebration.

First 3,000 people attending receive a
free Brampton Day t-shirt

Events and Highlights during the Day

  • Free Breakfast from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. in Ken Whillans Square
  • Special World Health Organization (WHO), International Safe Community designation, ceremony at 11 a.m. in Garden Square (in front of Rose Theatre)
  • Ride Brampton Transit for only a loonie
  • Fun and games for the whole family
  • Climbing Wall
  • Hydro One Bucket Rides
  • Bike Festival
  • Dumb Car Demo
  • Flag-raising
  • Safety demos
  • Informative and interactive displays
  • Cake cutting at noon in Garden Square
