"Fun"raising

"Fun"raising Ideas
These are events that can be
lots of fun for participants and will raise money to help support
a Community safety Program. Decide ahead of time which program you
will be supporting, so that it can be announced in your promotion/publicity.
Dress Down Day/Theme day:
- Participants pay a fee to dress casually at work on a specific
day. Spice up the day by adding a specific theme (e.g. bow ties,
hats, Pajamas, Halloween, etc)
Team Challenges
- Your group forms teams that challenge each other to baseball,
tugs of war, trivia, basketball, obstacle courses, fun golf,
etc.
E-Mail Bingo
- Sell bingo cards and call out the numbers over your e-mail.
When the first person gets bingo, they send a message to the
caller - "Bingo".
Back to top Pot Luck
- Participants each prepare a dish for a potluck dinner. Tickets
are cold to the dinner and all proceeds are donated to a Community
Safety Program.
Sales Event
- Baked goods, garage sale items, odd jobs, books, anything
that members of your group, customers, clients, friends or neighbours
will buy.
Mini-golf Tournament
- Set-up a mini-golf course throughout your office (street or
clubhouse), be creative. Each department (home or special group)
can create its own "hole" using common items. Charge
"green fees" and donate the proceeds to a Community
Safety Program.

- Have a funniest home video contest. Charge admission and set
a fee per entry. Choose finalists, award prizes, and have fun
watching the antics.
Lip Sync/Talent Night/Karaoke
- Set up a stage , charge admission, recruit contestants and
judge performances . Award Prizes.
Back to top Cultural Luncheon
- Plan a luncheon featuring dishes representative or your employees'
heritage.
Food Events
- Host a barbecue, pancake breakfast, theme lunch, pizza party
or potluck dinner.
Walk-A-Thon, Bike-A-Thon, Bicycle Rodeo, Graffiti Clean-up,
Citizen Patrols, Advocacy Letters
