Brampton Safe
City Celebrates 20 Years of Local Heroes
Brampton, Ontario – Members of the media are invited to join local dignitaries and community members for the Brampton Safe City Association’s 20th Anniversary and Annual Awards Night Celebration. The evening gala will feature a look back at 20 years of community safety in Brampton and will feature the announcement of Brampton Safe City’s 2002 Community Safety Award Winners. This year’s award recipients include an impressive array of community members, organizations, and groups who have made significant contributions to safety in Brampton this past year.
This years award winners include:
Peel Living – Community Program Award for Neighbourhood Watch
The Brampton Board of Trade – Community Program Award for Business Crime Prevention
Mr. Vern Price – The Herman Hewgill Memorial Award for Seniors Safety
The Rotary Club of Brampton – The Community Partner Award for Safety
The Bramalea City Centre – The Business Partner Award for Safety
Mr. Bryan Dawson – The Doug Boudreau Memorial Volunteer Award
Mr. Larry Zacher – The Lifetime Achievement Award for Safety
Brampton Fire and Emergency Services and St. John Ambulance will also be presenting their own special safety awards as part of the evening’s festivities.
