Business Safety
The Business Crime Prevention Program
provides business owners and managers with resources and information to
reduce the risk for crime to their work places. The program also
supports employees in promoting safety and crime prevention techniques
in both their workplace and their homes. Participating businesses
receive regular information and a wide-range of resources completely
free of charge. To find out more about this terrific program, contact

The Safe City Partnership
is a coalition of community groups, businesses and
government representatives who are dedicated to reducing crime and
injuries in the City of Brampton. The group was formed as part of the
Safe Community Designation process for the City of Brampton. The Safe
City Association provides leadership to this Partnership and acts as a
facilitator in promoting and evaluating its initiatives. In November of
2002, the Brampton Safe City Partnership received official confirmation
that Brampton would become designated Canada’s 32nd Safe
Community. The designation was the culmination of a yearlong effort by
the Partnership, which involved the creation of a comprehensive
community safety business plan for the City of Brampton. The plan
outlines how the partners will reduce injuries and crime for the
residents and businesses of Brampton in five key areas: the reduction of
unintentional injuries in children and fire prevention safety; the
reduction of injuries in seniors resulting from falls; the reduction of
workplace injuries in the construction, manufacturing, and
transportation industries; road safety; and crime reduction for
residents and businesses. For a copy of the Brampton
Safe City Partnerships Business Plan, please contact our office.
The partnership meets
once a month on the third Wednesday of every month. To find out more
about how you can get involved, please contact Brigitte Sayers at (905)
