Safe Communities Incentive Program

The Safe Communities Incentive Program promotes workplace safety and can reduce WSIB costs for small businesses.

Through SCIP, you can receive a 5% rebate on your WSIB insurance premiums after the owner or senior manager completes the program requirements, which include:

The 4 Steps to Managing Health and Safety, a 16-hour in-class management training course,
The development of a workplace health and safety policy and defined roles and responsibilities for employers, supervisors and employees,
A self-evaluation of your workplace’s health and safety management system; and
Health and safety action plan.

Who should Attend	Business Owners, Senior Managers

When is the Training	October 5, 12, 19, 26, 2010 - or - November 9, 16, 23, 30, 2010 Attendance required at all 4 sessions. Each training session scheduled from 9am – 1pm (Refreshments Provided)

How to Register	Complete the SCIP Firm Application Form Fax to 416-344-3493, Attention "Safe Communities Incentive Program:

Cost	$250 Registration Fee, payable to Brampton Safe City Association (bring the registration fee to the first session) Each additional participant is $30.00.

Deadline to Register	September 30, 2010

Since space is limited, the first 20 firms will be accepted. Registration acceptance will be handled in the order they are received.
